SANDRA KOTTENAUER, CHIEF PRODUCT & MARKETING OFFICER, MANOR AG

This order marked the beginning of our successful collaboration with Manor AG in 2017.
Our project manager at Manor, Mario Ghidoni , had the vision of quickly establishing a new, company-wide financial reporting system as part of the implementation of a new ERP system. This would enable the use and analysis of management-relevant data across different departments.
The biggest challenges for the project team were:
- To prepare the goods and financial data generated in the ERP system in such a way that a complete financial view is created, including operational reporting.
- At the same time, given the large amounts of data, the most efficient and scalable solutions had to be found.
With our solution, a data model was developed that enables highly aggregated analysis down to the article level without media breaks .
Thanks to XL3 and XL3-Web, Manor AG is now able to provide approximately 3,000 employees with consistent and, if necessary, highly detailed data. A common data model covers both the requirements of controlling and operational areas such as sales and purchasing.
Customer benefit
From over 140 static reports, a portfolio of 12 dynamic standard reports was developed according to the IBCS standard .
This includes:
- The complete income statement with different views and levels of detail,
- A purchasing report with temporal visualization of order quantities,
- as well as a performance report that measures the daily, weekly and monthly performance of the outlets.
The efficiency gains through consistency and the single point of truth principle mean that more time can be invested in interpretation and content – rather than in data preparation and reporting.
The uniform data catalog and the integrated control system form the basis for managing the department store group in the digital age and for the further development of its analytical capabilities.
"BSgroup Data Analytics AG's experience with similar challenges facilitated the development of a common language. The project setup was always clear and consistent, and resource planning was characterized by high flexibility and availability."
"The result is impressive due to its consistency, a clear data model, and thus high user acceptance. The standardized data catalog and the integrated control system have set the course for corporate management in the digital age and the further development of our analytics solutions."
